The Future is and will always be Undiscovered, at least from any particular point of view. And yet, it is the curse of every sentient being to project for itself, for good or ill, a future to be pursued or eschewed.

Such extrapolations are of course limited and informed only by what we know or what we believe; the facts about which we are ignorant are in no position to prove us wrong. Only time will tell.
